This is where the Rhône River begins. It is a symbolic place and a splendid location for a total immersion in golf! To reach the Source du Rhône golf course, you have to go up the Upper Goms Valley, nestled between the Nufenen, Furka and Grimsel passes. With its exceptionally peaceful setting, surrounded by majestic mountains, this golf course is particularly well integrated with the varied, green surrounding landscape. Bordered by forests and prairies, golfers may notice cattle grazing nearby, keeping one eye on the players’ performance.
The golf course is relatively broad and flat, and is one of the longest nine-hole courses in Switzerland. Shaped entirely by nature, it offers an interesting series of obstacles: the fairways are narrow and the course is dotted with numerous biotopes – water hazards, trees, reeds, etc. Golfers have to use their tactical skills on this course, which is designed to offer just enough difficulty to avoid frustration. But enough to earn a stop at the clubhouse overlooking the course for another way to prolong the enjoyment of the exceptional calm in this magnificent setting.
