Altitude 1'500 meters
Open from May to October

Crans-Montana is a golfers’ paradise! When it comes to golf, this resort has forged a worldwide reputation for excellence. Most notably, every year in September, it hosts the Omega European Masters tournament, one of the most prestigious European golf events next to the British Open.
Within just a few minutes from either Sierre or Sion, you reach the high plateau of Crans-Montana. There, you may enjoy an unobstructed view on the majestic peaks that reach above 4000 meters. In this inspiring setting, Switzerland’s golfing pioneers had the right idea. As early as 1906, they inaugurated the first golf course, since redesigned by champion Severiano Ballesteros. The course now bears this Spanish player’s name. This is a place where amateur golfers can practice on the same course that is used by the pros in the international tournament.

There are three other links available at the Crans-sur-Sierre Golf Club: a 9-hole course redesigned by Jack Nicklaus, the most award-winning player of the 20th century, and two courses that are open to all players, the Supercrans and the Noas golf course. Regardless of their skills, every golfer will find enjoyment, challenge and satisfaction here.

Jack Nicklaus Golf Course - 9 holes - par 35

The Jack Nicklaus golf course has been named as the best nine-hole course in Switzerland four times. That is hardly surprising, with its magnificent view over the Valais Alps, quality preparation, and the choice of techniques required. A relatively short course, it nevertheless requires a high level of precision, with fairways that are never straight and hazards that enliven the course. It is a challenge for both average and expert players.

Super Crans
“ Pitch & Putt” 9 holes - par 27, no handicap

This golf course overlooking Crans-Montana, located near the Tour de Super Crans, is ideal for beginners and for players who want to perfect their technique. It offers an opportunity for learning the rules of the game and preparing a handicap. Open to all, from June to October.

Noas – Chermignon d’en Bas
